Matthew 5:27-30 (NIV)
27-30 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.“

You have heard: We shouldn’t talk about sex at church.

There is no place more appropriate to talk about sex than in church.

Genesis 1:27-28a (NLT)
27-28a So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply.”

You have heard: Sex is bad.

You have heard: Sex is a need you have the right to fulfill.

Purity calls us to see others as people, not as objects.

You have heard: It’s only about behavior.

It’s about the heart.

Separating sexuality from spirituality creates a wound.

Romans 12:2 (NLT)
2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

You may have heard: Some sexual sins are worse than others.

Romans 3:23 (NLT)
23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.

You have heard: Your value is determined by your sexual history.

Your value is determined by the price Jesus paid to rescue you!

Purity is not something you achieve, it’s something you receive from Jesus.
